Burnaby, British Columbia

Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, is the city immediately east of Vancouver. It is the third-largest city in BC by population, surpassed only by Surrey and Vancouver itself.

It was incorporated in 1892 and achieved City status in 1992, one hundred years after incorporation. It is the current seat of the Greater Vancouver Regional District.

    Ridiculously late response. My late father was also an inmate at Oakalla. I'm not sure of the years but he was apparently notorious for escaping from various clinks. It would be interesting if you two knew one another. He was a boxer with a Slavic surname.

    This page is based on a Wikipedia article that was a fake, and has been removed. It was just five ordinary rocks, positioned to catch rainwater as it fell off the roof of the rapid transit station. The rocks were removed in about 2014 when the station was expanded.

It is located between the south parking lot and the softball diamond/sports field. It has a regulation size asphalt floor, 4 feet high side boards with 12 feet high end zone boards. The lacrosse box will be officially opened and dedicated on July 26, and officially named the Jack Crosby Memorial Lacrosse Box.
